TRAVEL PLANNER TRIPIGATOR

IT firm WorthYourHolidays today launched the country's first travel planing engine tripigator.com in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism. The portal selected as 'official travel planner' by the Ministry of Tourism was launched by secretary Parvez Dewan.
The web engine is aimed to provide all travel internaries in one tab to reduce travelers effort.
"This portal would significantly reduce hassles while planning trip in India by opening several tabs in one window. It would provide all relevant informations in one tab from destination to flight, hotel to cabs and weather and places to visit," Dewan told reporters here.
All relevant informations are integrated into one single web page and 3D views of the destinations would also be added, he further said.
"The project of tripigator.com is assisted by the tourism ministry, which has provided relevant data's on non-commercial basis. The portal has done its own research also. The portal would manage its revenue from its internal ads," he said.
He further said that tripigator.com would also be linked with the 'Incredible India'.
According to its co-founder Mukul Garg, the entire project is based on freemium basis and there is no cost involved and is getting no monetary value from the ministry.
"But in future we might explore revenue streams from advertisement and lead generation model," he added.
However, Garg declined to share the investment made from the IT firm in this venture.
Speaking on the difference between other poratls and tripigator, he said:" Other travel portal gives you lots of information and content but they never plan for you. At tripigator.com, you just have to come and give your preferences and it would do every thing for you." WorthYourHolidays was founded by three pass outs of the Indian Institute of Technology.
